  The Canadian Provinces have now updated their Provincial Nominee Program to line up with the Express Entry. This means that the applicant may require an existing Express Entry profile and meet all the required eligibility criteria. When the applicant obtains the nomination through a Provincial Nominee Program aligned with the Express Entry, the applicant gets an additional 600 points as per the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This increases the chances of the applicant receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residency in the next Express Entry draw.

To apply under the Provincial Nominee Program the applicant must meet the minimum requirements (age, education qualifications, language proficiency, employment experience) for the province’s non-Express Entry streams or must be nominated under that stream. If the applicant does not receive a nomination, then you must contact the province directly. The eligibility criteria depend on the labor market and the economical condition of the Province.

There are two main ways to apply for the Canada Provincial Nominee Program:

The most common way of getting permanent residency for Canada is Express Entry.
