The program is for the business migrants, who wish to invest, purchase a new business, and own an existing business in Canada. The applicants must have sufficient finds or assets to start a business. Along with this the applicant must complete the required eligibility criteria:

• The migrant must have a post-secondary Degree.
• She/he must have sufficient intermediate language skills level in English for the successful operations of the business.
• The applicant must have a valid experience of business management.
• A valid business proposal which includes- the financial abilities, description of space for starting the new business, obtain a Canadian Business Number, valid ownership documents.

If you are looking for a temporary stay in Canada or permanent residency under this pathway, you must have own a business with unique business plan and resources. The business can bring social and economical benefit for the Canadian citizens.

How can an Entrepreneur qualify for a C11?

The C11 allows the individuals seeking to operate a business in Canada. Here’s a quick overview of the C11 employment offer process.

• Fulfill the eligibility requirements of the employment.
• Setup a business in Canada with at least 50 percent ownership in the same.
• As the owner of the business, issue yourself an employment offer to get an employment for the business as its employee.
• Apply for the employment on basis of this employment offer.
• Enter and get an employment in Canada after your employment offer is approved.

Eligibility for the C11

Not every business owner can qualify for this employment offer. To qualify, you must

• Have provable skills, background, and experience to either setup a successful business in Canada or takeover an existing business and manage it successfully.
• Own at least 50 percent or higher stake in your business.
• Prove that your admission into Canada will result in significant economic, social or cultural benefits or opportunities for Canadian citizens or permanent residents

The important factors to be considered before applying for C-11 in Canada:

• Is your business planning a viable one and will it benefit Canadians?
• Does business viability improve because of your skills and background?
• Will it create employment for Canadians?
• Will it lead to regional development and/or higher exports from Canada?
• Will your business help introduce new technology or innovative measures that will improve skills of Canadians?

The Canadian Government will also look at the steps you have taken to put your business plan in action. These can include boosting availability of capital, finalizing lease agreements, implementing staffing plans, registering business in Canada etc.
