Canada has three territories named The Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. The main difference between the province and territories are its powers. The territories are given powers through federal government in place of the Canadian constitution. The territories have assigned the powers under the authorities of the Canadian Parliament. They are ruled by the federal government of Canada.

Northwest Territories Nominee Program

Northwest Territories Employer Driven Programs:

Express Entry System for Skilled Workers- The Northwest Territories Nominee Program is planned for the skilled workers who have a file in Express Entry pool and complete the eligibility criteria. The applicants can receive the nomination under Express Entry System for Skilled Workers.

Skilled Worker Stream- The Northwest Territories Nominee Program empower the government of the Northwest Territories to offer nomination to the individuals who have been received an employment offer in a skilled position. The applicants must have completed six months of employment in the Northwest Territories.

Entry Level /Semi Skilled Occupations- To fill the shortage of the employers of Northwest Territories the government enable the Semi Skilled Occupations. If the employer does not find any Canadian candidate locally for the vacant position, they can offer entry level job to the foreign nationals. Applicants must have already worked in the position in the Northwest Territories for a minimum of six months.

Business Streams: The foreign national business experts, who want to invest their capital, purchase a business and settle down in Northwest Territories can apply under the stream. The applicant must have the ability to create new jobs for the economic growth of the Northwest Territories. The candidates must have a valid business plan. The desired aspirants must submit the application for review from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment. If the application is accepted the aspirant may get nomination form the Northwest Territories.

Yukon Nominee Program

Yukon is located in the far Northwest part of Canada. Yukon has been a renowned spot in Canada. The Yukon Nominee Program was launched in 2002. The nominations are offered for the applicants as per the labour market needs. The one added stream is Yukon Express Entry stream which has more sub base streams.

The Yukon is lined up with Canadian Express Entry pool system. The other base category is not aligned with the Express Entry System. The main economy class migration programs came under the main Express Entry System. The highest ranked applicant receives the get invitation for the permanent residency. If the candidate gets a nomination through the provincial nominee program, he/she gets 600 extra Comprehensive Ranking System points.
