Quebec Entrepreneur Program
The applicant who has an intention to apply for the Quebec Entrepreneur Program has either experience of a business (that he owns or co partnered) or to purchase an already established business in the province of Quebec. The program has renovated in 2018. It is now functioning in two streams:
Stream 1- The stream is beneficial for an applicant who is supported by a business accelerator, a business incubator or an entrepreneur university or centre. The applicants have to establish and manage the business in the province of Quebec. The business can be set up solo or in partnerships. The partner can be either a Canadian citizen or a foreign national, in case they are limited to three.
Stream 2- The created business must have a control of 25% equity by the entrepreneur. It can have 51% ruled by the acquired enterprise. The candidate must have a participation in the day-to-day activity in the management of the business. If you have a certain amount of funds or assets as per the requirements of program you can legally apply alone or with your family. The one condition is the business must have in operation of 5 years before the submission of the application.
The Quebec Entrepreneur Program has to showcase a beneficial business proposal during a selection interview. The selection interview is typically preceded by a preliminary market visit to the province of Quebec by the applicant. After the selection the entrepreneur have to move forward with the Federal security and the medical verifications.
